Pella brings efficient, affordable, innovative products to 'NextGen Home' - Cutting-edge Pella products bring dreams to reality at international trade show -

PELLA, Iowa, Dec. 12, 2002 - Product innovations featuring the latest in modern convenience and design are becoming part of everyday construction projects that enhance the quality of life for today's homeowners. Pella Corporation will be showcasing leading home improvement products in the NextGen Demonstration Home at the Las Vegas Stardust Resort and Casino during the International Builders' Show (IBS) Jan. 21-24.

Project coordinator iShow Group reports that new homebuyers and current homeowners have done their homework when it comes to researching building systems and their financial and environmental effects. When looking for a new home or while renovating their current residence, these individuals look for design concepts that combine a variety of technology and trends into a more functional living environment.

The 3,000-square-foot NextGen Demonstration Home, showcasing the latest in connected technology, building science and energy-efficient design, includes Pella's Designer Series® windows and patio doors which feature the Rolscreen® Retractable Insect Screen. The Rolscreen is self-storing - so it is truly out-of-sight when not in use - and can allow up to 18 percent more sunlight to enter a room.

Pella's Designer Series windows and patio doors feature between-the-glass window fashions that provide style and convenience while promising longevity and low-maintenance performance. In addition to protection from dust, damage and little hands, these fashions are easily controlled by remote for enhanced performance and safety. Some of the windows also feature Pella's patented manual cordless window fashions. These products are backed with an ENERGY STAR® rating and offer low-E glass to reduce heat transfer and ultraviolet (UV) rays.

"Pella products, such as the Designer Series line, offer contractors, builders and homebuyers alike a range of affordable, efficient home improvement options that are guaranteed to perform over time," said Sherri Gillette, Pella Designer brand manager. "With the addition of the latest modern conveniences like the remote control option as well as the patented cordless window fashions, Pella's new windows and doors are a perfect fit in the NextGen Home."

The home is also equipped with a Pella Carbonite™ entry door. Composed of a thicker skin material, Pella's Carbonite entry system offering reduces deflection and warping and resists dents and corrosion. To add to the warmth and beauty of the door, the carbonite material is deeply grained to resemble authentic wood patterns.

IBS attendees wanting to learn more about Pella's full line of products - including the exclusive Designer Series window and door line and Rolscreen window and patio door option - can visit with Pella product specialists in booth #C4689 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
