Donald A. Gardner Architects
Donald A. Gardner continues to revolutionize the pre-designed house plan
industry by constantly researching the way people live, how they want to
live and how their needs change. By fulfilling requirements and wishes,
offering flexibility and accommodating new technology, Donald A. Gardner is
committed to the Next Generation Family. Each design incorporates the
philosophy of the new American family home*.
Specializing in design efficiency, each plan optimizes space, promotes
natural traffic patterns and provides convenience for today's active
lifestyles. Common areas encourage gatherings with family and friends, while
sleeping quarters are positioned for privacy. Architectural details and
custom amenities are added for comfort yet designed for affordability.
Combining builder perspective with homeowner interest, Don's plans are
elegant and economical- designed for adaptability and new technology.
Technical support and marketing assistance make the process even easier.
The NextGen Demo Home
As a next generation thinker, Don is excited to participate in the Next
Generation Home. Easily adaptable because of its open floor plan, this design incorporates
family-efficiency and allows its architectural detail to showcase the
materials chosen for this home.
As the 2003 Next Generation Home, Plan 987 features a low maintenance
exterior, natural traffic pattern and custom amenities that promote easy
living. Utilizing a step-saving theory that optimizes space, the gathering
areas flow together, while the split bedroom concept maintains privacy.
Closets serve dual purposes as storage and noise buffers.
A screened porch and breakfast area flank the great room, while a fireplace,
built-in cabinetry and cathedral ceiling highlight it. Exposed beams enhance
the great room's cathedral ceiling, and columns and a tray ceiling
distinguish the dining room without enclosing space. Arched windows add to
the overall drama and blend the home with its natural surroundings by making
the outdoors a visual extension of the home.
To meet the changing needs of today's active families, versatility is
offered in a bedroom/study and bonus room, while the private master suite is
separated from the bedroom/study by a full bath and from two additional
bedrooms that share a full bath. To discover more Donald A. Gardner plans, visit www.dongardner.com.
