Genesis has developed a multimedia cable, which simplifies residential installations since the composite cables can handle all current voice, video and data applications. The standard cable consists of two Category 5e twisted pair cables, which are tested to 200 MHz for voice and data and two quad shield RG-6 coaxial cables, which are tested to 2.4 GHz for cable and satellite video. A version with two 62.5/125 micron multimode optical fibers is available for future applications.
